We are a non-profit community theater company organized to enrich life in Northern Minnesota through music theater, engaging the community as audience and participant.

What We Do

Northern Light Opera Company (NLOC) was founded in the fall of 2001. The company has earned a reputation for professional-quality musical theater productions, live orchestras, excellent scenic and costume design, and fluid staging. The joy delivered from these productions surrounds not only the audience members, but the volunteers, directors, actors, musicians, tech crew, and beyond. We are pleased to welcome you to your NLOC experience, whether it’s your first or your fifteenth!
